Common questions.

Why are the features the same across every plan?
Because gating features by tier penalizes the operators we want to grow with. If team management lives behind the top plan, a Starter operator who needs to hire a driver has to upgrade twice — once for the feature, again for the volume. We don't want that friction. Pick a plan based on how many orders you handle. The capability ceiling is the same.
What counts as an order toward the monthly cap?
An order counts the moment you mark it "Picked Up." Pre-pickup cancellations also count — there's no separate "free cancellation" buffer. Picked-up orders that get cancelled later only count once (as picked-up). The cap resets at the start of each calendar month.
What happens if I go over my monthly cap?
We let you know as you approach it. If you hit the cap, the next order returns a 402 response and we prompt you to upgrade. Upgrades take effect immediately with prorated billing — you don't have to wait for the next month. Downgrades are scheduled at your current period end so you keep what you paid for.
Can I switch plans mid-cycle?
Yes. Upgrades fire immediately with Stripe-computed proration — the picker shows you the exact amount you'll be charged today before you confirm. Downgrades schedule at the end of your current billing cycle so you keep the higher cap until then. Switching from monthly to annual happens immediately at any tier; switching from annual back to monthly schedules at the end of your annual term.
How does annual billing work?
Pro and Shop offer annual billing. Pro Annual is $600/year (17% off the monthly rate). Shop Annual is $1020/year (15% off). Starter is monthly-only. Annual subscribers can upgrade tiers any time with prorated billing; the annual commitment locks in the lower per-month rate.
Is there really no transaction fee?
Correct — FoldStack takes 0% of every order. Stripe charges their standard processing fee (2.9% + 30¢) on each card transaction, exactly as they would for any small business. That fee goes from your customer to Stripe; it doesn't pass through us. Your platform subscription is the only thing FoldStack ever bills you for.
What's the free trial?
